Alison Marks BSc (Hons), Dip A Phys, Cert HSA, Equine Massage Therapist, IAAT, RAMP
Alison successfully gained a BSc (Hons) degree from Aberystwyth University taking particular interest in equine anatomy and performance. She then went on to work with horses in America and South Africa before studying a Post Graduate Diploma in Animal Physiotherapy through The College of Animal Physiotherapy, qualifying with a Dip A Phys in 2015.
To further her practical skills and knowledge of the muscular system, Alison studied Equine Sports Massage Therapy and qualified as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist.
In September 2017 Alison qualified as a Canine Hydrotherapist.
As well as running her own business, Alison works with Vale Vets Pet Rehab centre as a Canine Hydrotherapist and assists with physiotherapy. She thoroughly enjoys working as a Hydrotherapist and being able to enhance rehab sessions with her physiotherapy skills.
Alison also has experience working with the Avon and Somerset Mounted Police Unit and helping to train and rehabilitate rescue horses with the charity Horseworld in Bristol.
Outside of work Alison enjoys spending time with her loan horse Red and walking her dog Frodo.
Alison works as a freelance, mobile physio to ensure maximum flexibility, and comfort for the client.
Areas covered include Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, North Somerset, South Worcestershire and some areas of Monmouthshire.
Alison is fully qualified, insured and accredited by IAAT (International Association of Animal Therapists) and RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners) gold standard. She is passionate about her work and the welfare and well being of all of her clients, little and large.
